Kala's Education Programme
Kala The Arts has a strong reputation for high quality dance education work. We are able to deliver short or long term participatory projects and even offer projects that can be developed in conjunction with our programme of professional work offering young people a fantastic opportunity to be part of a performance on a wider scale.
Our wide range of workshops, residences and performances can be geared towards Key Stages 1 through 4 of the National Curriculum or as part of the post 16 years curriculum. We work across a broad range of subjects and our workshops and residences have been used to enhance teaching and curriculum content in Music, Dance, Religious Education and Physical Education. We are also very pleased to be able to offer programmes for cultural or creative arts projects, costume making and performance appreciation.
Our aim through our education programme is to encourage awareness of the different forms of South Asian dance and music and present it in such a way that it is relevant to life in Britain today
Kala The Arts is an arts in education charity creating and delivering high profile and engaging inspirational, authentic and innovative projects in Dance and South Asian related art forms to young people in Hampshire since the last 25 years and now the region.
