Evoking The Gods

Choreographed by Sushmita Pati, the movements are rooted in the techniques of Odissi dance and the piece itself is based on the story of Ganesh - the Elephant headed God who is the son of Shiva and Parvati. The narrative is presented through sophisticated hand gestures and graceful, meditative movements as the pace moves from high-energy to seeming nothingness.
